William Bill Paxton

William L. Paxton, age 79 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Mercy St Vincent Hospital. He was born in Toledo on December 10, 1936 to Orley and Rose Paxton Sr. He was the owner and operator of B & P Wrecking Company for 56 years, where his youngest son, Justin worked by his side for 25 years and his older son, Billy worked for him on and off for many years. Bill had a love for many things. He contested horses as a young boy and as a father, he mentored his daughter, Tondra in competitive horsemanship. He went on to be a champion bull rider throughout the U.S. He raced dirt cars through the 60s and 70s which led his boys to race motocross and four-wheelers and later on late model dirt cars. Bill lived for the thrill of competition. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Paxton and former wife, Sandra Paxton. William is survived by his children, William Billy (Jamie) Paxton, Tondra Paxton and Justin (Lisa) Paxton, long-time girlfriend , Connie Fonseca (and her daughter, Donna, her 4 children and 8 grandchildren), Bill's grandchildren Kodie, Ricklee, Sumerr, Taylor, Danielle and Justin along with his siblings Joan Silberhorn, Bob (Judy) Paxton, Sharon Perrotti, and Orley (Sheila) Paxton. Friends and family may visit H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville (419-473-1301) on Monday, April 3, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. Bill always said he was going to write a book, and he did, in each and everyone of us with the life lessons he taught us.
