William Klee

William Klee, 88, of Toledo, OH passed away at The Franciscan Care Center on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. He was born in Ottawa, IL to Fred W. and Josephine (Johnston) Klee. He married Elaine Eichelkraut on July 5, 1953 also in Ottawa. He received his Engineering Degree from Purdue University and worked at Pilkington (LOF) for 40+ years as a civil engineer. He was a longstanding member of ASCE. William was a Mason and belonged to Masonic Lodge # 111 in Ottawa, IL. William and his family loved to travel and spent time extensively visiting the United States, Canada and even took several cruises. He was an active golfer and along with his wife, he marshalled at the Jamie Farr Golf tournament for 15 years. William was also a member of the Pinehurst Country Club in North Carolina where he also volunteered for the Senior Open, US Open and PGA Tournament. He was a longtime member of Pilgrim Church in Toledo. William is survived by daughters, Sandra E. Russell and Sharon A. Manuel; granddaughters, Melissa N. Russell and Krystal L. (Patrick) Stewart and one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie A. Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Elaine A. Klee. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Church, 1375 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43612. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Church.
