William D. Chapman, Sr.

William D. Chapman, Sr., 96, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home in Toledo. He was born on June 6, 1922 to John and Francis (Redrup) Chapman in Toledo and he married Irene Yarcso on November 21, 1942 in Napoleon, OH. William was employed with Dura Corp. as a timekeeper and purchasing agent for over 42 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Eagles #197 and the Toledo Fort Industry Masonic Lodge No. 144 F. & A.M. since 1947. He also enjoyed golfing and ballroom dancing with his wife. William is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Irene Chapman, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William D. Chapman, Jr.; and siblings, Marilyn Cory and Eugene F. Chapman. Memorial services will be private. Contributions in Williams memory may be made to Heartland Hospice.
