Whitney Blaze Wright, 47 of Toledo, passed away October 1, 2021 at home. She was born August 24, 1974 to Larry and Kathleen Wright. In 1994, Whitney would graduate from Bowsher High School, and later go on to earn an associate degree in Criminal Justice, eventually becoming one of the first correctional officers at the new prison in Toledo.Whitney had many things she loved including her artwork, and watching documentaries and old funny movies. You would never see Whitney without a Mountain Dew in the hand. She never had any children but loved her dog Jazzy Blaze as if he were her child. Her faith in God was so strong. Whitney will be dearly missed by so many friends and family. Her beauty and soul will never be forgotten.She is survived by her; father, Larry (Linda, stepmom) Wright, Kevin, stepfather (Dinnie) Meeker; brother Brian (Julie) Wright; Sister Lindsay (Denny) Goins; nephews Jade Goins and Patrick Wright; nieces Caitlin (Bryan) Hurst, Myla Goins and Anna Wright; as well as David Stoll, her boyfriend for many years. She will be buried at Harding Cemetry (Angola Rd/295) in Swanton, Ohio on Tuesday June 21st at 11am. Her mother Kathy and dog Jazzy's ashes will also be buried with her. A gathering will take place immediately afterwards at 12359 Old State Line Rd. Swanton, Ohio 43558. Whitney loved the song "Holes in the floor of Heaven" Steve Wariner, and as the lyrics remind us, "when it rains she is watching over us.
