She is now in the arms of Jesus. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia G. Putman (Meinen) of Lambertville, Michigan, who passed away July 30, 2021 at the age of 74 surrounded by her family. Virginia was born September 16, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan to Normond C. Meinen and Helen J. Meinen (ne Wesolowski). A 1964 graduate of Woodward High School, Virginia began her career as a bookkeeper fresh out of high school at Mauk Lumber Company, and worked for a variety of companies throughout the United States before returning to the Toledo area in 1987. In 1994 she decided to put her roots down in Lambertville and enjoyed working on her home and gardens while working part time at Power Door Systems of Ohio. While in Lambertville, Virginia was seeking a church to call home and discovered The Assembly of Christians where she immediately felt welcomed. Although she was baptized as a baby, she went all-in and was baptized again and became a member of the church. Virginia is survived by her daughter Dawn Krystine (Bradley) Michel-Collinge; grandchildren; Alexis K. Michel, Brittany L. (Ricky) Vandercook, Krystle D. (Cory) Curtis and Stephanie M. (Brian) Dobbs and 12 great grand children in addition to many cousins. We cant forget furry friends Rmi and Mason. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Buffy Marie the 2nd (my angel girl) and husband, James Ruben Putman Jr.A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at The Assembly of Christians, 3619 W.
