Virginia Jinny Patterson

Patterson Virginia Jinny (nee: Tefft) July 30, 2015 Age 92 Beloved wife of 50 years of the late Jay Patterson, loving mother of Rod (Nancy) and Marilyn Kay (Susan Clements), wonderful grandmother to Jay (Brendan McCabe) and Tara, sister to the late David Tefft of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the late Charles Tefft of Warren, Michigan. Also survived by three generations of nieces and nephews. Her family was her pride and endless joy. She was born and raised in Dimondale, Michigan, and graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan, and Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 1954, she moved to Toledo where she and her husband operated Patterson Accounting for 30 years. She was a long-time member of the Toledo Womens Club, the Business and Professional Womens Club, the All-Go Allegro Club, the Castellani Art Museum and Aldersgate Methodist Church. She was a tireless leader and volunteer in each of those organizations. She also loved to bowl, play cards, garden, and dote on her cats, Shadow and Samantha. She died after at Ebeid Hospice Residence after a brief illness. The family will receive visitors from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, at the Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home at 1163 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Toledo Womens Club Scholarship Fund, the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University or ProMedica Hospice. , memorial service Saturday, August 8, 2015 Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home 3219 Tremainsville Rd.
