Violet Marceane (Cawthon) Jones

8/13/1941-5/14/2023

Violet was born August 13, 1941 in Toledo to Bill and Louise (Varwig) Cawthon. Violet was proceeded in death by parents and sisters Vivian and Virginia. Early in life, Violet was a medical transcriptionist, and later, a substitute office worker for Toledo Public Schools.

Violet and husband Sonny owned “Sonny’s Auto Sales” on Summit Street for many years.

Surviving is husband of 60 years, Harry (Sonny) Jones, daughter Cynthia (Fred) Betz, son Darrell (Shannon) Jones. Grandchildren, Chuck Garcia, Derrick Jones, Darlyne (Ralph) McCoy, along with her great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Proceeded in death by Grandbaby Amber Nichole Jones, Great Grandbaby Jorgie, and Step Grandchild Corey Smith. To honor our Mother’s wishes, there will be a graveside service Thursday, May 18 at 1PM -Lake Township Cemetery. 3550 Walbridge Rd, Millbury OH. 280S, Walbridge Exit. Turn left. Head to rear left of cemetery.
