Victor Sherrick, Jr.

Victor Harding Sherrick, Jr., 74, of Delta, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his daughters home, surrounded by his loving family. Victor was born March 30, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Victor H. and Fern (Helms) Sherrick, Sr. He married Barbara Kurek on May 20, 1972 and they shared 52 years together.

Victor retired from Chrysler Jeep after 35 years during which time he worked as a volunteer for the Springfield Township Fire Department for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing with his son and grandchildren, playing the guitar and shooting pool; but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Along with his wife Barb, he is survived by his daughter, Angela M. (Rick) Courtney; grandchildren, Ashley (Steve) Thorne, Caleb, Bryn and Keaton McKenzie, Mariah (Derrick) Kerwin and Maxwell Sherrick and great-grandchildren, Lottie-Jean, Victor Lawrence “Larry”, Harvey, Tinsley and his birthday buddy, Eleanor Mae. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, son, Victor Sherrick, III and granddaughter, Nicole Sherrick.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home-Holland/Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879). Visitation will continue Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Springfield Twp. Cemetery.
