Ursula Podzinski

Ursula "Ursie" Podzinski,90, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10,2022. Born March 7,1931 to Jerome and Irene Reamer. Ursie attended Central Catholic High School, graduating class 1950. Proving it's never too late to learn, she went on at the age of 60 to earn her associates degree in Correctional Technology from The University of Toledo. While there she made the Dean's list and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Ursie was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary from 1937 until her death.She married her husband Stanley J. Podzinski, September 5,1953. She was a devoted wife and mother. Reading ,baking, and writing were her favorite pastimes. Ursie was an avid gardener, and would spend hours outside transforming her backyard.Ursie is survived by her daughter Holly, grandsons Joe(Bren),Jacob, and John Podzinski, granddaughters Heidi Cluckey and Holly Schaus, and daughter-in-law Nina Podzinski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley, son Christopher, brother Donald, sister Rosemary Cook, and granddaughter Heather Haefner.Visitation will be at Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home 3219 Tremainsville Rd., Wednesday, February 16,2022 11 a.m. to 1p.m.,with service following at 1.
