Thomas L. Hills

Thomas "Tom" Laverne Hills of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 at Fremont ProMedica Hospital. He made his home at Valley View Health Campus surrounded by an extended family of those who loved and cared for him. He was born on July 7, 1949 to Richard and Alice Hills in Findlay, Ohio. He graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1967. He held various computer jobs at Burroughs, IBM, ADP and retired from Sandusky County as the Data Processing Manager. He raised three daughters all of whom he was very proud with his first wife Mary Cox Miller. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Fremont and had a relationship with Jesus. He enjoyed spending the summers at Meadowbrook Park with family and friends, raising rabbits, and metal detecting. He also enjoyed music. In fact, he learned to whistle at the age of 4 months. He played the hammered dulcimer, lap dulcimer, nose flute, harmonica, and bowed psaltery. He is survived by daughters Stephani (Steve) Letzring, Lori (John) Gonzales, and Nanci (Jake) Kosanka; grandchildren John-Luke Gonzales, Joshua Gonzales, Ashleigh Kosanka, Molli Delgadillo, Hanna Letzring, and Trevor Letzring; great-grandchildren Julian, Noah, Olivia, and Mercedes Gonzales; and very special friend, Mary Ray. Memorials may be made to Friends of Meadowbrook. At Thomas' request, funeral services will be private.
