Suzanne C. Richardson

Suzanne C. Richardson, 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born to Lawrence and Edna (Hogrefe) Wagoner, April 13, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Robert S. Rogers High School in 1959 and attended some college classes at the University of Toledo. Sue married the love of her life James L. Richardson, and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 29th.

Sue, as everyone knew her as, retired from the Lucas County probate court. She was a member of Providence Lutheran Church. She was a member of Palestine Chapter Order of Eastern Stars and held several grand appointments. She was also past mother advisor and board member of Sylvania Assembly International Order of Rainbow for Girls in Ohio. Sue loved her Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Red Wings. Sue traveled for her appointments and was loved by all whose path she crossed. Her biggest love was for her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Edna, Wagoner; her brothers Lawrence Wagoner II and Russell Wagoner. She is survived by her husband James L Richardson; her two children Richard Richardson III (Heather) and Katey Richardson; her brother Richard Wagoner (Susan); sisters-in-law Rita Wagoner and Monica Wagoner; grandchildren Christopher (Amber) Richardson, Ashley (John) Janicki, Jessica Richardson, Katelynn Richardson, Dalton Leininger, Damien (Juliana) Pfaff, Christian Pfaff, Cameron Pfaff; 11 great grandchildren Alyza, Brianna, Brennan, Savannah, Jaxon, Skylar, Margaret, Meredith, Milo, Maziey, and Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and of course her four legged daughter, Missy.

Friends will be received at The Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Life Celebrations in Holland (7438 Airport Highway) on Tuesday, January 28 from 4 PM to 8 PM with an order of eastern star memorial service at 7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 10 AM with interment immediately following to Shiloh Cemetery. Family is requesting a casual dress code and no black attire for visitation and funeral.
