Steve Jefferson Fullwood, Jr., 1938-2022Steve Jefferson Fullwood, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 22, 2022, at the age of 84.Born June 6, 1938, in Wisner, Louisiana, Steve was raised on a farm managed by his parents, Stephen and Corean, in Eudora, Arkansas. Steve graduated from Eudora Colored High School in 1957, and moved to Toledo, Ohio, where he met Elaine Houston. The couple married in 1961, and the union produced five children. For the majority of his adult life, Steve worked as a cook at many restaurants including Mancys Steakhouse and Houlihans. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed watching sports and westerns, listening to gospel music, being with family, learning about genealogy, and writing down his recipes in journals.Steve grew up in a family that practiced the Christian faith. He became a Christian at an early age and became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Eudora, Arkansas under pastoral leadership of Dr. E.L. Carter.Steve was the proud father of five children: Cynthia, Karen, Steven, Darryl (Vickie), and Pamala (Aaron); and the grandfather of Ron, Rashon, Chyrah, Cheyenne, Patrice, Tyerra, Ronald, Dante, Pamala, Gregory, Mickiele, Marina, Darryl, Jr., Victoria Torii, and Damien. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Stephen Jefferson Fullwood and Corean (Isaac) Fullwood; siblings Leroy, Francis Corlee, Robert, Corean (Earl), and Leslie; his former wife Elaine; children Cynthia and Darryl; and grandchildren Cheyenne, Gregory, Mickiele, and Darryl, Jr. He is survived by siblings Rev. Lucious Fullwood (Deborah), and Charlene Jackson (Roy); his children Karen, Steven and Pamala; and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Steve's memorial will be August 6, 2022, at the Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 3 p.m. 5 p.m.
