Shirley June Shortridge

Shirley J. Shortridge, age 85 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her home. She was born in Findlay, Ohio on June 8, 1928 to Merle and Lucille Cherry. Shirley was employed at St. Vincent School of Nursing as a resident director for many years. She enjoyed traveling to visit her children and loved watching tennis and reading books. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Joe Shortridge, daughter, Mary Buck, sisters, Ruth Cherry and Sandy Glosch, brother-in-law, Thomas LaRue and her parents. Shirley is survived by her loving children, Ruth (Ron) Johnson, Mark Shortridge, John (Lora) Shortridge and son-in-law, Mike Buck, grandchildren; Bryan (Anna) Johnson, Kim (Eric) Sauber, Julie Buck, Aimee (Adam) Bennett, Christy (Craig) Buck-Hutchins, Nick Buck, Rose (Ryan Haggard) Buck, Erin Buck, Matthew Shortridge and Megan Shortridge, great grandchildren, Leah Sauber, Evan Sauber, Cameron Buck, McKenzie Buck, Gavin Bennett, Connor Bennett and Alec Bennett, sisters, Nancy LaRue and Alice Williams and brother-in-laws, Carl Glosch and Richard (MaryLou) Shortridge along with several nieces and nephews. To honor Shirleys wishes, there will not be any visitation or funeral services. Graveside services will be at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, April 7 beginning at 1:00 pm.
