Shirley A. Murray

Shirley A. Murray, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on September 23, 1929 to Ernest and Hester Murray. Shirley was a teacher for 35 years, mostly with Toledo Public Schools, retiring in 1985. She was very close to her church family at St. Paul United Methodist Church, especially Mark and Dennis. Shirley never met a stranger. She was an avid bowler and had a great passion for golf. Shirley was a great world traveler. She coached several sports at Robinson Jr. High, taking many teams to city championships. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kevin Paul and brother, Raymond. Shirley is survived by her devoted and loving family, Sarah, Danielle, Jeremy, Sharon, George, Debra, Michael, Jeannie, Joshua and Melissa. Memorial visitation for Shirley will be on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 1201 Madison Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Shirley Murray memorial fund at St. Pauls United Methodist Church.
