Shirley McDouough, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Luthern Village at Wolf Creek. She was born on February 8, 1922 to Ferdinand & Colette (LaTronche) Nigg. She married Charles F. McDonough on October 9, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1975. Shirley held several different jobs over her lifetime retiring from Lehn & Fink Products in 1985. She then worked part time for Brown Motors well into her 80's. Shirley was devoted to her family, a remarkable cook and an avid gardener. She also loved to travel and went on several mini vacations with family and friends. Shirley was a devout Catholic and always had compassion and a prayer for those in need. She had a unique personality and sense of humor and was never afraid to speak her mind and 'tell it like it is' Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Sister Charlyn Marie McDonough and brothers Jack Nigg and James Nigg. Shirley is survived by daughter Sharon (Mike) Miller, granddaughters Nicole King and Kristen King who will always love and remember their Mimi. She leaves many wonderful memories to be cherished by her friends and a host of relatives. Services and a celebration of Shirley's life will be held at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Luthern Village at Wolf Creek and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care of Shirley.
