Shirley A. Davis

It is with great sadness, we share the loss of Shirley A. Davis, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio. She passed away at Ebeid Hospice on February 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Washington, Indiana on July 30, 1934 to Anthony and Lucille Risch. In 1954 she married her high school sweetheart and relocated to the Toledo area. Shirley retired from the former Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she was Supervisor of Office Services. She loved spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed shopping, camping, crafting and spending time in Florida. Shirley was a resident at Vibrant Life Senior Living Center for the past two and half years. Her greatest joy in life was being married to the love of her life, Bob for over 60 years. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lucille Risch, brother, Richard Risch, sister-in-law, Janet Mc Cracken and her husband Bob Davis. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Sandra (David) Drewyor, Karen (Rick) Szymczak and Linda (Brian) Driscoll, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Shirley also is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol Risch, Robert Mc Cracken, Carol (Gary) Johnson and James (Susan) Davis and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2016 at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301) from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with scripture service at 7:00 pm. Funeral prayers will begin in the funeral home on Monday, February 22 at 9:15 am to follow with Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
