Sharon L. Smith "Gmom"

Sharon L. Smith, 76, passed away on July 4, 2022 from heart failure. Born from the union of Harrison and Anna (Oliver) Carter. She was the oldest of 3 children, Nancy Gauchey and Garry Carter of Dearborn Heights. Sharon graduated from Haston High School in 1964.

She married Robert M. Smith on June 27, 1964. Together the raised 4 children; Robert, Todd, Rachelle, Kevin and later in life she gained another son, Michael Polansky. Through her whole adult life any kid that entered her house instantly became her child or grandchild.

Sharon’s hobbies included genealogy, Polarity Alternative Medicine, reading, shopping and socializing. She never met a person she couldn’t talk to. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her many nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to be surrounded by people.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, her husband, and 2 nieces. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, sister, brother, children, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
