Shane Kruse

Shane Michael Kruse, 24, of Toledo, Ohio died unexpectedly at home on January 31, 2022. Born February 19, 1997 in Toledo to Wendy Kruse, Toledo, and Ron Griesinger, Churubusco, IN.Shane was best known for his big heart, amazing work ethic, and his quick wit. Shane had the uncanny ability to keep all those around him laughing. He was known by the nicknames Shaney, Shaner(s), and Thundergoose. Shane loved several quotes he made nearly famous including: "Shookie", "Honk, honk", "DIABEETUS" and "BLOOD PRESSURE" and several others.In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by two grandfathers; Timothy (Barb Clark) Kruse, Huntington, IN and Terry McNair, Toledo; four brothers, Ryan (Hannah Adams) Huffer, and Dylan, Connor, and Donald, Jr. McNair, all of Toledo; seven sisters, ShyAnn and Shannan Griesinger, Cassandra (Marcus Wells) Foster, and Hannah, Emily, Kylee, and Carlee McNair, all of Toledo, Stepmother Pam Henderson, Toledo, Uncles Shaun "Tim" (Michelle) Kruse, Fort Wayne, IN Geoffrey (April) Kruse, Rochester, IN, and Cameron (Kristina) Kruse, Hawaii, an aunt Tamila (Tim) Hauth, Columbia City, IN, five nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins, honorary aunts and uncles, and countless friends.Preceding Shane in death were his father, Donny McNair in 2020, and three Grandmothers, his "Grammy" Linda Hoot in 2018, "Gramma" Myra Kruse in 2018, "Grandma" Alice Griesinger in 2013.Shane's funeral service will begin at 4:00pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 with visitation during the two hours prior to the service from 2-4pm at Blanchard- Strabler Funeral Home (3219 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio 43613).In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home in memory of Shane Kruse to help with final expenses.
