Sandra Lee Wilcox

Sandra Lee Wilcox, age 68, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Sylvania, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 31, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, Sandy was the daughter of Samuel and Betty (Hall) Schermerhorn. Sandra was a proud graduate of Whitmer High School and went on to build a beautiful life filled with laughter, family, and simple joys.

Sandy loved nothing more than spending time with her kids and grandkids. They were the light of her life. She was an avid bowler and a longtime member of the team at Jugs, where she made many dear friends. A woman of strong faith, Sandra enjoyed attending church and found great comfort and community there. She also cherished her time at the racetrack with her longtime partner, Art, sharing plenty of fun memories over the years.

Left to cherish Sandra’s memories include one son, Lee Wilcox; daughters, Melissa (Jerry) Never, Virginia Wilcox, Myra (Aaron) Marinkski, and granddaughter, Marlina (David Pfiester), whom she lovingly helped raise and cherished like her own; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceding Sandra in death include her parents, Samuel and Betty; one brother, Sam; one granddaughter, Angel, and one great-grandson, Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, at the Ray Neville Chapel, at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport HWY, Holland, Ohio, with a funeral service starting at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
