Ruth Daniels

Ruth A. Daniels, 81, of Walbridge, Ohio, went to her eternal home on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Ruth was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 25, 1939 to Maurice “Doc” and Georgia (Porter) Silvers. Ruth moved with her parents to Toledo when she was 15 and was a graduate of Whitmer High School. She attended Milligan College and the University of Toledo, and was an early education teacher at East Side Central, and later the East Toledo YMCA. Ruth loved teaching, and to see the light in a child's eyes through learning was a special joy to her. In 1966 Ruth married the love of her life, Everett C. Daniels, raising a family and celebrating 53 years together. Ruth was a devout member of the Church of Christ, and held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those around her. Ruth joins her parents and brother Richard Silvers in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband Everett, children Matthew (Laura), Rebecca, Erin and grandson Donovan Newton. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Walbridge, OH (419-666-3121). Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the funeral home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
