Rusty McDaniel

Rusty Adam McDaniel was born February 15th, 1983 to William “Bill” McDaniel and Tamela “Tammy” McDaniel at Toledo Hospital, Toledo Ohio. Rusty passed September 7th, 2026 at age 43 peacefully in his sleep holding his beloved dog, Waylon.

Rusty graduated from Mason Senior High School in Erie, Michigan in 2001. He had the honor of serving his country by joining the United States Army. Shortly after graduating high school he became the father to Riley McDaniel. Rusty enjoyed playing video games, going to the shooting range, restoring his Army Green 1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews: Kaylene McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, Randy McDaniel, Julia McDaniel, Elijah McDaniel, Alaina Grimes and Abigail Grimes.

Rusty is survived by his only daughter, Riley McDaniel, his mother Tammy McDaniel, brother Lucas McDaniel, and sister Jennifer McDaniel. Rusty was preceded in death by his father Bill McDaniel and his sister Michelle McDaniel.

The family has entrusted Sunrise Funeral Home in Holland Ohio with the arrangements. The funeral will be at Highlands Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 18th, 2026 at 1pm.

Riley McDaniel will officiate the ceremony.
