Ruby J. Seifert

April 16, 1951 — December 3, 2024

Ruby Jean (Meyer) Seifert, 73, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was born April 16, 1951 to Ruth (Brunk) and Charles Meyer. She was a graduate of Springfield High School in Holland and earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Toledo, and spent most of her career working with elementary students. While raising her two children, Ruby enjoyed annual road trips to Florida, her backyard pool, and going all out in decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas.

After retirement Ruby spent her time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sisters, cousins, and friends, and was a fun part of her Aquatics Group, her peeps in the lunch bunch, her close group of High School friends (many of which she had been friends with since elementary school), her Dreamettes performance singing group, her neighbors, and her teacher friends group.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kathy, her son Sean, her husband Charles, her brother-in-law Ernie Peters, and her grandchildren Braden and Colton Seifert.

Ruby is survived by her loving daughter Laura (Mark) Brown, loving son Chuck (Andria) Seifert, grandchildren Max Brown, Charlotte Seifert, Brianna Seifert, sisters Judy Peters and Shirley (Matt) Schmidt, nephews Ernie Peters, Steve Peters, Kevin Peters, Joe Schmidt, and niece Amanda (Schmidt) Sheets.

She will be dearly missed. A celebration of life to be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2820 W. Alexis Road, Toledo, OH 43613 on Saturday, December 14th from 1 to 3 PM, where a luncheon will be served.
