Rosalind Byrd

Rosalind Roc Byrd was granted her angel wings on January 19, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. She was born September 10, 1966, to Alean Wright and Alvin Byrd. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.Rosalind graduated from Macomber/Whitney High School, Toledo, Ohio in 1984. She continued her education at Stautzenberger College and worked a short time caring for the elderly before coming down with illness. She later became an expert in the art of hair braiding in a range of styles and designs.Her love of spending time with her family and friends was first in her life. She loved cooking, eating, listening to music, going to the movies and casino, reading romance novels and her many pets. Although she was in constant battle with illness, she showed us all courage and hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Rosalind was a very loving, strong and outgoing person which made her a wonderful mother, friend, sister and grandmother. Everything she done was out of love.Rosalind is survived by her loving children Karyn Nicole Byrd and Michael Cardell Jr. Her grandchildren, Karina and Kyran Byrd. Her brothers, Henon Wright, Jr., Bobby Childs, and Lionell Parks. Her adored siblings, Comethia Warren and Yolanda Barnett (Rodney). Family friends, Yolanda Wiggins and Tyshanta Deloney. Her nieces and nephews, Lorenzo and Destinee Childs, Michael and India Warren, Jason and Jassaundra Warren, Tyshaela, Richard and Makayla Wright. God-children, Brian, Marcus and Devonte Jordan, Daveion Stewart and Dazariah Warren and a host of friends and relatives.
