Ronnie Hite

Ronnie Hite was born on November 25, 1954 in Jefferson County, Arkansas and he departed this life on June 6, 2024 at the age of 69 at Mercy Health - St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Ronnie was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Thelma Baunight, mother and Sylvester Hite. Ronnie confessed to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his early years and was baptized in the name of Jesus.Ronnie moved to Toledo, Ohio with his family in 1963. He attended Fulton Elementary School and Scott High School. Ronnie was an avid sports fan; his favorite football team was the Los Angeles Rams, favorite basketball team was the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe Bryant bring his favorite team player.Ronnie worked various factory jobs in and around Toledo but was known for his skill as an auto mechanic who worked on most cars in all kids of weather, hot or cold.In recent years, Ronnie became a fiance and excellent caregiver to Madonna D. Hearn until her passing in November 2021.Ronnie leaves to mourn his passing his sisters, Louise Birch of Arizona, Sylvia Hite and Marvel Baunight, all of Toledo; and special friends, John Grant and Shirley J. Russell. Ronnie was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Johnson and Barry Hite; sisters, Marylin Dotson, Ruth Ann Frankliin, Marrie McCaster and Betty Boyd; and many nephews, nieces and cousins to also mourn his passing.Friends and family will be received Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio (419-269 1111) where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
