Ronald Porter

Ronald David Porter, 71, of Toledo, Ohio, succumbed to cancer at the comfort of Hospice Care on October 13, 2023.Ron is survived by fianc Kim Schlieman, daughter Cheryl Frye (Porter), son David Porter, brother Robert Porter, and many loving grandchildren, nephews, and extended family. Ron was a loving father, fianc, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marallyn, and his brother Jeff.He worked at Chrysler in Toledo, Ohio for 20 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health. He spent his free time enjoying his Harley and outdoor activities, watching his favorite TV shows and he enjoyed cooking. Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam War.A special thank you to the people at St. Vincent's hospital in Toledo for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Blanchard Stabler Funeral Home & Crematory for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.There will be a private family ceremony held at his gravesite.
