Ronald C. Murdock, born October 21st, 1941, passed away due to complications from cancer on January 28th, 2019, surrounded by family at St. Anne Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was 77 years old. Ron attended a small Catholic school in the South End of Toledo called Immaculate Conception. After graduating from Immaculate Conception in 1955 he then went on to Edward Drummond Libbey High School, graduating in 1959. After high school, Ron was able to get a job at the Toledo Jeep plant thanks to his grandfather. While employed at Jeep, he was drafted to service during the Vietnam War. Leaving his job behind, he served two years in the Army achieving the rank of Specialist. Once home from the Army, Ron married Alice and they began their family, often vacationing at campgrounds across the country. He returned to Jeep with full seniority and retired after 36 years of dedicated service. Jeep wasnt the only recipient of Rons dedication, though. All anyone needed to do was ask and he was willing to help in any way he could, be it financial or picking up a grandchild every day to go to school. Ron wasnt the kind of man to accept something couldnt be done. Ron is survived by his four children, Lori, Melissa, Lisa, and Mark, brother James, and sister Pamela. He has eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, and mother and father, Evelyn and Ed Murdock. Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Saturday from 1 PM until the times of Services at 2 PM. Entombment, Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania. Special thanks to the Oncology nursing staff of St. Anne Hospital. Special thanks also to good friend Michael Brown.
