Ronald D. Krell

Ronald Pa D. Krell, 81, of Point Place passed away at Ebeid Hospice surrounded by his family on January 24, 2018. He had been in poor health for several months and seriously ill for the past month. He was born September 9, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Edward and Hattie (Marohn) Krell. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1954, where he played football and made the All City Team for Toledo. Following graduation, he spent the next four years proudly serving in the United States Navy on board the USS Shasta. He earned a certificate in Stationary Engineering from the University of Toledo. He worked as a boiler operator for Toledo Public Schools. After retiring from TPS, he continued working first at GEM Industries, and later as a realtor. In 1976, Ronald met the love of his life, Carol Wheelock (Haines.) They joined their families together in 1977 and celebrated their 40th anniversary this past May. He was a lifetime member of the Riverview Yacht Club, serving as Rear Commodore, at one time. He enjoyed spending time on his boat, CA-RO. He also enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard and playing with their dogs, Duchess, Augustine and Clyde. He was also an avid sports fan. He especially loved cheering for THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Go Bucks! He is survived by his wife; sons Steven and Jeff; daughters Michelle and Victoria; sister Leona Lee; brother Richard (Mary); grandchildren Mark, Troy, Andrew, Christopher "Chris", Danielle and Jake; and special great-grandchildren Breydan and Adilyn. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald, Robert, James, Edward, Leonard and Bill; sisters Kathleen and Sue, daughter Tina, and numerous others. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Pas life will take place with a memorial service at Riverview Yacht Club on February 13, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the givers choice.
