Robert E. Williams

Robert “Bob” E. Williams passed away on December 30, 2022. Bob was born on October 22, 1934 to Ellis and Eleanore Williams. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1952. Bob worked for Toledo Trust Company (now Key Bank) for 26 years and was named assistant treasurer in 1974. Bob was active in the American Institute of Banking and attended many classes pertaining to the banking industry. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard that had several apple trees.

Bob later worked at Impact Products in their Finance Department and retired on July 1, 2005 after spending 15 years working for Mr. Findlay.

Bob was a devoted member of St. Jerome Catholic Church for over 40 years.

Bob is survived by his sons, Bradley Williams, Chris (Desiree) Williams; daughters, Debra (Rodger) Lumm, Denise Lopez, Danette Perna; brother, David (Sue) Williams; sisters, Judy Frantz, Sue (Gary) Leach; and sister-in-law, Gerry Williams. He enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren, Landen and Cassidy Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Williams; his parents, Ellis and Eleanore Williams; brothers, James Williams, Richard Williams, Thomas Williams, Gary Williams; and sister, Nancy Waterston.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge from 9:30 am- 10:30 am where relatives and friends may pay their respects, and a Mass will begin at 10:30 am conducted by Father Scott Woods. Inurnment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Bob’s name to St. Jerome Catholic Church.
