Robert Thatcher

Robert Waldo Thatcher, Sr., 93, of Swanton, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024. He was born in Toledo to Raymond and Louise (Collins) Thatcher June 3, 1931. Bob was a longtime employee with StoneCo where he worked in Maumee as the Crusher Operator. He enjoyed racing cars, fishing, golfing, and training hunting dogs. He was a hardworking, simple man that leaves behind no regrets.

Bob is survived by his sons, Robert (Lori) Thatcher, Jr., Randy (Sara Hutchinson) Thatcher; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and countless extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Raymond Thatcher, Keith Thatcher; grandsons, Kevin Thatcher, Kenneth Thatcher; and siblings, Helen, Augie, Bill, Dick, Kenny, and Jim.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 11, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at Walker Funeral Home – Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, until the time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Bob’s name are asked to consider a local veteran organization.
