Robert Edward Soncrant

Robert “Sonny” Edward Soncrant, aged 74, passed away at St Luke’s Hospital, Maumee Ohio on Saturday December 12, 2020 after a brief battle with COVID-19. Sonny retired from the University of Toledo as an Administrative Director for the College’s Workplace Credit Program. Sonny was an avid University of Michigan Football fan. He was also known to really enjoy the lake life and spent many mornings fishing. He loved his family, music, and showed a deep interest in politics. Sonny was a personable man with a laugh that made everyone feel like a friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sonny is preceded in death by his loving wife Suzanne Soncrant; his parents Walter and Rosemary (Nueser) Soncrant; his sister Christine Soncrant; and loving companion dog, Dudley. He is survived by his sisters Claudia Johnson and Carol Schultz. He is also survived by his children Jennifer and fiancé Craig Schaefer, Carmen, and Javier.
