Robert Lawrence Groth Jr., 37, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2016. Little Bob had the biggest heart of anyone who ever lived, and most likely of anyone who ever will. He never thought twice about helping anyone whether they were family, friend, or total stranger. The rippling effects of his good will, often even unknown to him, will have a lasting impact on lives for many years to come. Bobby graduated from Swanton High School in 1998 and went on to become a Master Aircraft Mechanic. He truly loved his work and sharing his knowledge with others. Bobby is survived by his parents, Robert and Patricia Groth Sr.; grandmother, Eilene Groth; brother, David Groth (Lauren); sisters, Shelly Guerrero (Eliberto), Stacie Ralph (Carl Jr.) and Christina Hoffman (James); nieces, Morgan Nagy (Tommy), Allie Ralph, Emily Ralph, and Kyrstin Patton; nephews, Brian Stahl (Brittany) and Aiden Groth; soon-to-be born great-nephew, Benjamin Stahl; special friend, Rebecca Hartman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Groth; grandmother, Edith Eastabrook; and aunt, Glenda Bechtol. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 23, at Ottawa River Yacht Club at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Heroin Anonymous or the Zepf Center.
