Robert F Gorsuch

Robert F. Gorsuch, age 78, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Flower Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 5, 1932 to Howard and Nellie Gorsuch. Bob and his wife of 55 years, Janet Gorsuch lived in Sylvania for half the year and the other half in Bradenton, Florida. He attended Woodward High School. He was a veteran of United States Navy, serving from 1951 to 1955. Bob was the founder of B & J Signs in 1974 which is still in existence and owned by their son, Terry. He was also the Assistant District Manager for Eastern Weighting & Inspection Bureau and Assistant Traffic Manager for Lehn & Fink. Bob enjoyed playing outdoor shuffleboard and was past president of the Jermain Park Shuffleboard Club. He was a former member of Toledo Transportation Club and a charter member of Delta NV Alpha. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and oldest son, Mark Gorsuch. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Gorsuch, son, Terry Gorsuch, grandson, Scott Gorsuch, grandchildren, Cindi and John, brothers, Gorden (Shirley) Gorsuch, Donald (Jean) Gorsuch, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Bob will be on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301. Funeral service is at 11:00 am on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Promedica Hospice or to donors choice.
