Robert “Bob” Davenport

We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert Davenport, age 66. Bob passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after a long, hard battle with a monster that has broken us all. Bob was born on May 17, 1960, and spent his life with devotion and compassion to the people he loved, with the attitude that his glass was always half full. He was a very gifted athlete throughout his high school career and a beloved musician, friend and inspiration, whose kindness resonated from sports, stages and house parties. 

Bob is survived by his loving partner, Brenda; his son, Justin(Shawna) whom he loved dearly; his brother, Bruce and wife, Diane; and a beloved tribe of friends, who have been a constant source of love and support throughout this difficult journey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Davenport; his oldest brother, Stephen; and a younger brother, Stuart “Stewie”.

I whisper your name to myself. I whisper goodnight until we meet again. I whisper and hope your angel ears can hear me here on earth. I whisper your name because I am afraid that if I speak too loud, my heart will hear and break some more, so l just whisper. You will always be loved and missed.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, Holland, Ohio. The family will be holding a private gathering to celebrate Bobs life, at a later date.
