Robert J. Biniak (Biniakiewicz), 82, of Toledo, OH passed away after a brief stay at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice. Robert was born on April 24, 1940 to Harry and Sylvia (Czykowski) Biniak (Biniakiewicz). He married his lovely wife, Brenda Barber on December 30, 1961.
Bob graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1958. During this time he met his future wife, Brenda, at the Pharmount Drug Store Soda Fountain. He attended the University of Toledo for 2 years and he joined the Army in 1960 and served until 1963. He was a star tennis player for Central Catholic, University of Toledo and the Army. While in the Army he was stationed in Verdun, France as a accounting specialist for the 32nd Engineer Group. After the Army he was employed with NFO Research for 40 years, retiring as a Marketing Vice President in 2005. He loved spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains, taking tons of pictures of the wildlife and scenery. His grandkids kept him busy as a spectator at their soccer, baseball, bowling and volleyball games. Bob loved his get togethers with his fellow NFO Alumni, especially, Linda and Guy. Some of his favorite pastimes was salmon fishing with his best buddy, Steve Wilson. He was also proud to be a huge Cleveland Brown, Cleveland Indian and OSU fan.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sylvia. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Brenda; brother, Tom Biniak; daughters, Michelle (William Romig) and Laura Dauer; his beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Nathan, Becca and Dylan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm with a memorial service to follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice.
