Rita Mae Nagley, age 86 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep December 1, 2016 at her home of 53 years in the loving care of her daughter Sandra (Albrecht), granddaughter in law Shenna (Perez) and family friend Jocelyn St. John. Our family gives a heartfelt hand of gratitude for those who cared, comforted and provided assistance in her final hours on this earth. Rita, the youngest of five sisters was born October 14, 1930 in Toledo to Mr. Gustave & Mrs. Margaret Psihogios. She graduated from Whitney High School, fell in love and married her high school sweetheart Robert Wayne Nagley June 10, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She faithfully devoted herself to a lifelong passion of becoming a loving, affectionate housewife and caring kindhearted mother to her six children and her extended family. She was especially proud of her Greek heritage where her father emigrated from Corinth Greece through Ellis Island at the age of 15 in 1914 and successfully operated his own barbershop for 53 years while raising five daughters alongside his wife Margaret. She enjoyed crochet, cooking, cards, puzzles, yahtzee, scrabble, gardening and the presence of her children, grandchildren and adored the company of her great grandchildren. She was mild mannered and had a charming, beautiful, deep peaceful inner strength that was the remaining cornerstone of our family where traditional holidays and family gatherings were celebrated and blessed with food, love, warmth, joyfulness, humor and the fond memories that will reside within each of us for a life time. We are all blessed to have been a part of her wonderful life, the pride she took in her children and in our time of mourning we now gracefully celebrate who she was and honor her passionate dedication towards raising us as a family. Surviving Rita are her six children Roberta Lee (John) Kennerly, Deborah Ann Jeffries, Sandra Lynn Albrecht, Ronald Richard (Juna) Nagley, Donald Alvin Nagley, David Allan (Michelle) Nagley, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister Maria (Tomes) and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in her passing by her father Gustave Christopher Psihogios (1988), mother Margaret Matilda Shertzer (1997), husband Robert Wayne Nagley (1993), sisters Christina DeBruine (2002), Georgia Psihogios (1991) and Helen Bircher (2001).
