Richard L. Young

Richard L. Young, 63, of Walbridge, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Liverpool, WV on June 22, 1957 to Roy and Gernie (Delaney) Young and moved to Walbridge when he was five. Rick worked for 45 years as a special inspector with BP. Rick is an Eagle Scout and served as Assistant Scout Master for Troop # 63 where he enjoyed mentoring young members. He was also part of the American Welding Association and a member of Mainstreet Church. Rick enjoyed photographing beautiful landscapes and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Fern; children, Andrea (Rob) Remele, Vanessa (Tony) Suk, Erin (Quincy) Hens, Jeremy (Megan Feichtinger) Young; grandchildren, Gwen, Liam, Calvin, and Penelope Remele, and Tyler Hens; siblings, Sue (the late Jerry) Gibson, Roy E. (Bev) Young, Juanita (Lennie) Zunk; and many other family members and countless friends. Friends will be received on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121).
