Richard "Pops" Wylie

Richard “Pops” Walter Wylie, 91, of Holland, OH passed away on February 8, 2021 at Kingston of Sylvania. He was born on May 28, 1929 in Allison Park, PA to Harry E. and Helen P. (Newman) Wylie and he married Rose Mary Anderson. Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Toledo Pipe and later opened his own trucking company and up until his death he still enjoyed working on his trucks and antique cars. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Richard is survived by his loving children, Joseph (Gina) Wylie, Beth Wylie, Tom (Tammy) Wylie, Rich (Cathy) Wylie and Rosemary (Mark) Gorney; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Wylie; grandson, Tommy; great granddaughter, Gabriella; and brothers, Pete and Pat Wylie. Funeral services will be held privately for close friends and family in Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879). Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
