Richard V. Knox

Richard V. Knox, 94, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on July 14, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare, Point Place Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on April 8, 1924 in Sidney, Ohio to Robert and Ruth (Runyon) Knox. Richard was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army. Richard worked for many years in maintenance for General Mills, Inc. retiring in 1988. He also enjoyed flying airplanes. Richard is survived by his daughters, Dianne (Arthur) Ghesquiere, Carol (Ronald) Goeckerman and Patricia Knox; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Knox; sons, Robert Knox and Terrence Knox; and step-daughter, Margaret Peggy (Richard) Butler. There will be no public services per Richards wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements were entrusted to Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 1163 W.
