Richard Allen

Mr. Richard Grant Allen, 62, of Toledo, Ohio, transitioned on June 6, 2021. Son of the late William James Allen and Mimia Belcher Allen, Richard was the fifth child born to their union on April 21,1959 in Toledo. Richard graduated from the aeronautics program at Macomber Whitney High School. After completion of high school, Richard spent the next 40 plus years working as an entrepreneur in lawn care, helping every person that he could, and being an Uncle to an entire generation of kids and young adults on Toledos north side. Your favorite neighbors favorite neighbor, Richard was always positive and displayed a pleasant demeanor. He always had a kind word and was willing to go out of his way to help anyone in any endeavor at any time.Richard was preceded in death by his father William J. Allen, two brothers William Billy Allen Jr. and Michael Curtis Pig Allen, his sister-in-law Josephine Allen, and two nephews raised as close as brothers John Curtis White and Will Did White, Sr.Richard leaves to honor and cherish his memory his 99 year old faithful mother: Mimia Allen of Toledo, Ohio, Sisters: M. Linda Utley of Harnett County, NC and Norma Molly Allen of Toledo, Ohio, a dear aunt Ruth Aunt Sis Penamon of Toledo, Ohio, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.You may share memories and condolences with the family at a celebration of life that will be held at his family home on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 538 Spring Street, Toledo, Ohio at 12:00 noon.
