Rebecca J. GozdowskiRebecca J. Gozdowski, age 60, of Sylvania, Ohio, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Fulton County Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 26, 1947 to James and Miriam Freels. Rebecca was a R. N. for 38 years working at Lake Park, Flower Hospital, St Vincent Mercy Hospital, and most recent as Assistant Director of Nursing with Harborside of Swanton.. She loved the University of Michigan football. Rebeccas grandchildren were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam Freels. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Gene Gozdowski, loving daughter, Veronica (Jeff) Eiben, 2 grandchildren, father, James Freels Sr, siblings, James (Darlene) Freels Jr, Richard (Patricia) Freels, Phyllis Kershner, Charles (Judy) Freels, Gerald (Debbie) Freels and Cynthia (Ron) Zimmerman.Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Tuesday, March 25, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 am on Wednesday.In lieu of flowers, Rebeccas family ask contributions be given to her husband, Gene for his care.
