Ray Arsenault (Uncle Ray/Papa) age 60 of Toledo, lost his 12 year battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at N.W. Ohio Hospice, Toledo. He was born on Sunday, July 27, 1947 in Rumford, ME to Margaret (Kelley) Arsenault who preceeded him in death on March 16th 1993.Ray Proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army 9th infantry division during Vietnam, and was employed as a forman/tree trimmer with the Nelson Tree Service for 25 years, a job he loved and was very proud to do.Ray loved people (especially children), animals, playing the guitar, playing softball, bowling, and fishing. Ray considered himself very lucky to have a large and loving extended family. Ray himself was a very strong, yet softhearted man who was loved by all who knew him. Surviving are his loving wife of 21 years, Judie Arsenault, Daughter; Julie Robarge, Grandaughters; Amanda Robarge, and Oliva Arsenault, Great grandchildren; Tyler and Alison Malone, Brothers; Dick (Diane) Arsenault, Bob (Jackie) Arsenault, Roland (Lynn) Arsenault, Ralph (Gale) Arsenault, Roger (Denise) Arsenault, Sisters; Joanne (Dick) Lamontagne, Joyce Angevine, Jean (Junior) Noel, Janet (Frenchie) Fontaine, Julie (Kenny) Buteau, Brothers in-law; Don (Jenny) Harmon, Eddie Harmon, Sisters in-law; Sandy Cowens (Bud), Mary Rohm (Scott) Second Mom; Aunt Bissett, 'Adopted' family (the Packs) Ace (Dad), Eileen (Mom), Donna (Bill) Swann, Cathy (Jaime) Alexander, Ban (Chet) Todd, Gabe (Carolyn) Pack, John (Mary) Pack. Ray was also known as Papa to Trent, Tyler, and Alana Hyott Ray also leaves behind many Godchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, and dear friends all too numerous to metion.Friends may call at the H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio (at Alexis Rd.) where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2008.His family will be receiving guest beginning at 4:00 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
