Peggy Kohlhofer

Peggy Mardell Kohlhofer, 91, of Walbridge, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, on November 7, 2025. She was born in Toledo Ohio, on May 23, 1934, to Fayette and Howard Lanham. She graduated from Burnham High School, in Sylvania, Ohio. On May 26, 1956, she married her childhood sweetheart Jack Kohlhofer at the First Congregational Church in Sylvania, Ohio. Their life was filled with travel, love and laughter building a life together, with their four sons and two nephews who became their sons.

Peggy was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She was an integral part of Main St., Church, working as a greeter, helping in the giving center and volunteering for funeral lunches. Peggy hosted and was part of small group through the church as well. Peggy ‘s faith was shown in everything she did.

Peggy helped her husband build a profitable roofing business. She also held positions at JCPenney’s, Walbridge elementary and Lake high school; after retirement she was a volunteer at ProMedica Hospital. Faith, family, and friends were very important to Peggy and she made sure everyone in her life knew how much she loved them.

Peggy is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Jack and siblings Howard, Merlyn, Teddy and Christina. Left to cherish her memory are her son‘s Matthew (Alicia) Kohlhofer, Merle Kohlhofer, Howard (Linda) Lanham, Mark Kohlhofer and Michael (Deanna) Kohlhofer; grandchildren Anastasia (John) Willey, Zack (Khristine) Kohlhofer, Ryan (Maddie) Kohlhofer and Gavin Kohlhofer; great grandchildren Addison, Harper, Dawson, Genevieve, and Rhodes Kohlhofer, Bresdon, Auray, Aeralyn, Eland and Leodin Willey, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Thursday, November 13, 2025, 5:00pm – 8:00pm, The Robert Shank, Sr. Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 701 Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio. The funeral service will be on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00am at Main Street Church, 5465 Moline-Martin Rd, Walbridge, Ohio. There with a brief viewing at 10:30am, prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Main Street Church or hospice of Northwest Ohio in Peggy’s memory.
