Paul was born on June 3, 1970 in Toledo, Ohio. He left us on November 10, 2017 after a tragic car accident. Paul was a graduate of St. Frances De Sales High School, class of 1988. His work, was mostly in radio and T.V. as a D.J. and cameraman. Paul was an avid sports fan, Go Green Bay, ice hockey and basketball. He had a love for animals and a love for life. Paul was very proud of his daughter, Talia. Paul and his brother, Henk, were first generation Americans. As a Dutchman he rode his bike everywhere. Because of his generosity, Paul repaired bikes and donated them to over 100 inner city kids so they could have their own bike. He was a very loving father to his daughter, Talia and a very loving son to his mom. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Henk M. and brother, Henk M. van der Steen. Paul is survived by his daughter, Talia and his mother, Willy C. van der Steen, also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and second cousins, all in the Netherlands. He will be missed by numerous friends, male and female and their families. His home going will be celebrated at Little Flower Catholic Church on Dorr and Olympia, on Saturday, November 18, at 10:00 am. Pauls family will be there to greet friends at 9:00 am.
