Paul Briggs Paul Briggs, age 70, of Toledo, died Thursday August 30, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1947 in Toledo to Mr. & Mrs. Walter (Beatrice File) Briggs. Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed with the City of Toledo, sewer department for 27 years and worked as an usher at The Toledo Sports Arena for 42 years. He was a life member of VFW Post 2898 in Toledo and belonged to the Sylvania Moose and Club 16. Survived by his loving wife Vee Ann Briggs; brother, Al (Karen) Briggs; sister, Ethel Sue Adams; many nieces; nephews; family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack (Flo) and Ray Sonny (Rose) . Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Wednesday from 2-8 PM, where Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM.
