Patricia Ann Kirwan Crowley, 92, passed away May 23rd peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Davenport, IA on June 26th 1930, she, and her parents moved to the south end of Toledo in 1934. She attended OLPH Grade School, St. Ursula Academy, and Mary Manse College. She was proud of her Catholic faith, south end connection, and Irish heritage.Pat met her husband Con while working at Willys Jeep in 1954. They were married on May 7, 1955. They moved to West Toledo where they joined St. Catherine of Siena Parish and raised their eight children with faith and Christian values. Con, and the kids who affectionately call her Patsy, fondly remember her life guarding the swimming pool, attending countless sporting events, drivingcarpools, making endless stacks of PBJ sandwiches, and her sharp, witty sense of humor. The door at the Morin Point Villa is always open just as the family home on Eastway was and there is always room at the table for more. Pat was active in the St. Kates Parish family serving on the school board and Parish Council, was a choir member and a room mother for each childs classes. She was an accomplished artist, loved figure skating, bird watching, wearing hats and sailing. Pat and Con are long time members of the Jolly Roger Sailing Club.Patricia is survived by her husband of 68 years Cornelius Con, children: Carol, Tom, Mary (Steve) Hodapp, Patrick PJ, Kathleen Kay (Nick) Schimmel, Tim, and Marty (Diane); brother Michael (Susan) Kirwan; grandchildren: Nicole (Jake) Smith and Thomas (Jackie) Schimmel, Shannon (Zeb) Riley and Matthew Hodapp, Bailey, Bradley, John, and Jason Crowley; great grandchildren: Joseph and Liam Schimmel, Paul and Patrick Riley, Nathaniel and Emily Smith and many nieces and nephews. Countless special friends are additionally treasured as extended family.She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Kirwan, brother John Kirwan, and son Michael Crowley.Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am on Saturday, June 10th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4555 North Haven, Toledo, OH, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am (celebrant Fr. Edward Littelmann), burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, and a luncheon in St. Catherines parish hall.
