Norman L. Hall

August 31, 1926 — July 28, 2015

Norman L. Hall, age 88 of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Sylvania, Ohio on August 31, 1926 to Ernest and Fannie Hall. He lived as a child at the Miami Children Home. Norman was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was in the invasion of Normandy at the age of 17 years old. Norman was past President of Sylvania OAPSE and a volunteer firefighter with the Trilby Fire Dept. He was employed with Sylvania Public Schools as a bus mechanic and bus driver for many years. Also worked as a custodian at the former Toledo Trust Bank. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Hall and 9 siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife, Louise Hall, children, Matthew Hall, Michael (Jannine) Hall, Michele (Richard) Hetrick, Mitchell (Jean) Hall, Marshal Hall, Murray Hall, Monte Hall, Marty (Martha) Hall, Marilyn Sharp. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 31, from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd 419-473-1301. Visitation will continue on Saturday, at Lambertville United Methodist Church (Dean and Douglas) from 10:00 am until time of service beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Tom Zimmerman will officiate. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Promedica Hospice or to Lambertville United Methodist Church.
