Nicholas Sahadi

Nicholas W. Sahadi, age 92, passed away peacefully at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center on September 24, 2021 AT 8:15 a.m. He worked at Electric Autolite, Libbey-Owens and Chrysler Corp. He was the son of Wady and Zakie Sahadi. Nicholas loved gardening and working on his cars. Nicholas was in the Air Force for 4 years. He married Alberta Sahadi November 18, 1955, she passed away November 18, 2005, He had many friends including Akram Mahmoud. He loved everybody, he will be missed. He will be with his mother.Nick (even though he was Roman Catholic) would sometimes visit St. Michaels Orthodox church on Sunday, the church where his son Mark attends. After liturgy, Nick would engage in Fr. Davids bible study regarding the gospel reading of that Sunday. When he participated in the discussion, if he disagreed what the other person would say about the gospel, Nick would challenge that person in a big verbal debate about the topic. Usually, this verbal debate would be between Nick and Fr. Davids mother, Missy. At the end of the bible study, Missy would often times come up to him and say, Boy Nick, you really made your presence known! Which was one of her idioms. She would only say that to a person if she was challenged in a discussion. His reply to the remark would be, well your son Abouna (Abouna in Arabic means Father) wanted me here since you and I are about the same age and the ones that help carry the ball! He would then turn and smile and give Fr. Davids four children (Missy, Valerie, Fred, and George) each $5 and say, thanks for listening to me, kids! Surviving is his son, Mark Sahadi.Friends will be received on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 2 until 8 P.M.
