Nicholas Koppinger

Nicholas Koppinger, Jr., age 84, passed away on January 26, 2022, surrounded by his family.Nick was born to Nicholas Koppinger, Sr. and Kathleen (Cleary) Koppinger on March 27, 1936. Nick was a graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School in Detroit, Michigan and St. Marys University of Winona, Minnesota where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology. Nick married the love of his life, Sally (Van Wormer) Koppinger on November 7, 1964, and together they raised two children, Elizabeth Koppinger and Nicholas Koppinger III. Though Nick maintained an avid interest in science, hockey, and antiques, his professional career was in real estate as a broker for over 45 years.He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sally; his daughter Elizabeth; son Nicholas; grandchildren Emma and Sally Fish; sisters-in-law Susan Sylak and Elizabeth Van Wormer; and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held later in the spring and will be private.
