Nellie C. Lockwood

Nellie C. Lockwood, 83, of Toledo, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her home. She was born in Harts, WV on November 29, 1935 to Wedsel and Hazel (Castle) Toppings. Nellie worked for over 10 years as a medical assistant to S.P. Zambrano, M.D. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Nellie is survived by her loving son, David (Rosemary) Conley; grandchildren, Lisa, Tammy, Nate, Rob, Ken, Kris Thielen, Joe, D.W., Courtney, Gary, Brad, Bob, Nikki Goeller and John; many great and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Wayne, Bonnie, Brenda, Linda Sue and George; sister-in-law, Bertha Toppings and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Linda, Donna, Kenneth, Robert and Sharon; and brothers, William and Bernie. Friends will be received on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43612 (419-269-1111). Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
