Naomi M Zedlitz

Naomi Madeline (Izzi) Zedlitz, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023, at Swanton Valley Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. Naomi was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 18, 1934, to the late Joseph Izzi and Vivian “Frances” (Wieszchowski) Izzi.

Naomi graduated from Devilbiss High School in 1952 and married the love of her life, Ernest “Ernie” Zedlitz, in Toledo OH, on July 11, 1953.

Naomi was a devout Christian and loved spending time with her beloved family and friends. She enjoyed watching baseball with Ernie, especially the Detroit Tigers and could always be found supporting the University of Michigan football team. Naomi’s love for everyone was unconditional and if you knew her – you knew it. She will be missed dearly and forever be remembered for her generosity and kind heart.

She is survived by her children, Tina (Tom) Michalkiewicz, Thomas (Conni) Zedlitz, Tamara (Zedlitz) Vaughn and Timothy (Julie) Zedlitz; grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Lewis, Thomas Joseph “TJ” (Melissa) Zedlitz, Nicole Lohman, Brittany Zedlitz, Margaret “Maggie” (Dean) Druschel, Garrett (Cassandra) Zedlitz, Brooke Zedlitz, Brett (Bailey) Zedlitz and Beau Zedlitz; as well as her great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Naomi was preceded by brother, Joseph Izzi and sisters, Barbara (Izzi) Beaudry, Joyce (Izzi) Kazmierczak, Roberta (Izzi) Henning; and her loving husband, Ernest “Ernie” Zedlitz who passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023.

Per their request, celebrations of life will be held at Walker Funeral Home Holland-Springfield Chapel (7438 Airport Hwy.) on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Inurnment will be private.
